Get Creative Orchestra

Get Creative Orchestra is a fun creative music-making sessions for young instrumentalists in P4-P7. Children should have a minimum of six months playing an instrument and should be able to play a variety of different notes with ease.

Suggested ages are a guideline – we encourage participants to attend the group that would be most beneficial to them at this point in their creative development. However, we typically recommend the Orchestra for young people who are in primary school (there is a different group for secondary age children).

A short sharing performance for family and friends takes place at the end of each session at 2.45pm.

We are delighted to be currently working on a fun new commission by composer Erin Thomson. We’ll be working on Erin’s piece in the next session, and we will perform the piece as part of the CoMA (Contemporary Music for All) Festival on 10th March 2024.

We can accommodate all instruments in the workshop but please note there are only limited places for percussionists and pianists (offered on a first-come first-served basis).
