Numeracy Improvement Group – P1, P2 and P4

The Numeracy Improvement group has been looking at ways to work in partnership with parents to improve our children’s confidence and ability in maths.

 

We know that parents want a better understanding of which maths concepts their child is learning and ideas for how they can help their child practise at home.

 

We have created a bank of resources we would like to share with you.

• A Big Maths Parents Guide for each of the 20 challenge levels in Big Maths
• Big Maths Support Slides with suggested games, videos and activities to make practising maths more enjoyable at home.

 

We are asking parents from P1, P2 and P4 to trial the resources and give us feedback on how user-friendly and helpful they are.  You will have access to all appropriate resources through your child’s Google Classroom.

 

If you have suggested changes highlighting how we can make them more effective, please let us know by contacting your child’s teacher.  Based on your feedback we will then aim to roll all the resources out across the whole school in Term 4.
