Badminton Festival

On Friday 27th March members of Mr Andersen’s badminton club participated in a badminton festival held at Hazlehead Academy. 19 Primary 7’s from Hazlehead competed with pupils from Airyhall Primary School at singles.

We were split into 5 groups and we played everybody in our group. A Sports Leader for the Academy was in charge of each section and scored the games.Caitlin and Oliver won their group while Jenna and Kirsten achieved second place in their section. It was a really fun idea and everybody competed well and gave it their all.

The most important thing was that everybody had fun and got the chance to apply their skills in matches. Plus we got to meet new friends from Airyhall who also play badminton!
