This afternoon, Susan from Sea Sense spoke to the class about the Titanic, specifically about it hitting the iceberg.

We looked at where the icebergs were and how dangerous they are. We looked at life jackets from that time and learned why they were not suitable.

We learned about morse code and practised sending signals using a clicker.

We went out to Hazlehead Avenue and walked the distance of the length of the boat. It’s much longer than you think!! From the top next to Hazlehead Park down past the entrance to the school beside the second lamppost!
