Science Block

Building on the fantastic success of our recent Mad Scientist Day, Mr. Crowther will be teaching Science to P5 for the next month on Thursday afternoons. The pupils will be learning about fair testing, how to skilfully write a Science report whilst developing their scientific vocabulary. The context for the lessons will be creating rockets to launch!

Mr. Crowther is our resident Science expert! He is currently helping the school reach the Primary Science Quality Mark, as the school’s Science Co-ordinator. This is an award scheme to enable primary schools across the UK to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their science provision. Schools can achieve bronze, silver and gold awards. Hazlehead achieved bronze status last November and is now aiming for gold! Miss. Bowie
