WHAT A SNOWY WEEK !
Hurray it’s Friday ! Would you like to know what we’ve been doing this week ?
Mrs Bruce introduced us to “Tangrams”. This is a puzzle where you are given 4 shapes to make into a square ! Some of us thought it was fun but others found it tricky .
We were given the challenge of finding ,with a dictionary and partner , an animal for all the letters of the Alphabet. Here are some of the animals we found – Alligator, elephant, dung beetle, hippopotamus, lion, rabbit, xeme, snail, newt, quail and a scorpion to name a few .
We had our first Music session of the term with Mrs Fiddes, and Miss Clark and her P2/3 class joined us. We sang a couple of songs about Friendship with actions. It was great fun and we hope to do this every week.
This week many of us arrived at school with snow boots . sallopettes , ski gloves and wooly hats – Guess what had arrived at school – SNOW ! We had an outdoor lesson when we had to draw 2 dimensional shapes in the fresh snow . We made igloo’s at Playtime and even a snowman – the whole school joined in. . Outside school we have been enjoying snowball fights, sledging and skating !
Have a super weekend
We did a fun activity about subtraction too!!
